In 2007, Schroth introduced the Nextel Cup to the 2" lap belt that has been available to FIA sanctioned racers for years. In doing so, they've stepped up the level of safety available to racers running under all SFI 16.5 harness rules. 2" Lap Belts are now legal in all touring NASCAR series.

The 2" lap belt offers greater safety because it fits better on the human pelvis. The part of the pelvis where the lap belt contacts the body is called the Iliac Crest. This is the bone that sticks out at the front of your hip. When seated, a 3" lap belt will ride on top of this crest. A 2" belt sits below this crest, and exerts all of its force on the hard part of your pelvis, rather than focusing it on a small surface area of bone. Because of this fact, you can generally get the 2" lap belt up to 1.5" tighter than a 3" lap belt.

Add this 2" lap belt to the already impressive features that distinguish the Schroth harness from the rest of the competition and you end up with an easy choice for your harness.

The Hybrid Style harnesses is defined by its special Anti-sub strap setup with two separate straps that loop around the lap belt latches before clicking into the cam lock (See Pictures). This arrangement is much more comfortable for the driver, and is also safer. Generally in tight cockpits, drivers will wear the restraint looser than is recommended purely because a regular Anti-sub strap is uncomfortable. The Hybrid restraint removes the problem, curing the symptom.

You can specify the standard HANS specific 2"/3" shoulder belts or the state-of-the-art "Double Shoulder" belts that feature the 3" body belt and additional 2" HANS belt.

Note: This harness can be converted to 7-point (or 9 point if used with Double Shoulders) By adding a Single Anti Sub strap.

Some manufacturers and US Distributors do not provide us with inventory levels, so we are unable to advertise their inventory quantities online. However, we will check the availability and fulfill orders from these manufacturers and US Distributors when applicable.

Shipping Carriers & Delays

We utilize popular shipping carriers like FedEx, UPS & USPS for all shipments. Once an order has been dispatched from our facility, we are subject to the shipping carrier's policies, procedures, and estimated delivery times. While we work closely with our carriers to ensure timely delivery, please be aware that any delays that occur after the package is handed over to the carrier are outside of our control. Our company is not responsible for shipping delays caused by:

  • Carrier Issues: Delays within the carrier's network (e.g., sorting errors, missed scans, operational issues).
  • External Factors: Weather events, natural disasters, peak season surges (holidays), or other unforeseen circumstances.

Late Deliveries & Refunds
Shipping costs reflect the carrier's service. In the event of a significant delay, we recommend tracking your package directly on the carrier's website. If you believe there is an issue please contact us with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
Please note we do not offer refunds on shipping fees for delayed packages if the delay is caused by the carrier.

 

How do I check the status of my order?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check it's status. You can also login to your account and check the status of your order from within your customer account.

If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation, please use the tracking number to check the shipment progress on the carrier's website. If you believe there is an issue please contact us with your name, order number, description of the issue, and we will look into it for you.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after your order ships to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be in brand new, uninstalled, and unmodified condition, and in the original undamaged product packaging.

To start a return request, do the the following:

1. Log in to your account:

In the Email field, enter your email address, and then click Continue.

In your email account, open the email sent from our store and copy the six-digit verification code included in the email.

Go back to our online store, and then enter a six-digit verification code.

2. Click the order that you want to submit the return for.

3. If your order has more than one item, then select the items that you want to return.

4. Select a return reason and add any necessary notes.

5. Click Request return.

We'll respond via email at our earliest opportunity during business hours. If your return request is approved you'll receive an email with return instructions and a return shipping label. After the product is returned, we'll issue your refund less the return shipping. The original shipping charge is non-refundable.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us immediately if any item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item(s), so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exchanges 
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want in a timely manor is to do a return and a new purchase.  Simply follow the above instructions to request your return or email us at sales@425motorsports.com and request to return your item(s). Once the return request is accepted and you receive return instructions, make a separate purchase for the new item(s).


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be refunded automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
