How to Get a Racing Sponsor—the One Question You Must Be Able to Answer

You love auto racing, but can’t quite put together the cash to actually put a race car on the grid.  You might be a very good driver, you might not, but you have a strong desire to race and will do just about anything to get on the track.  To go racing you need cash, and lots of it.  Sadly, you were not born into a family with money, and robbing banks has gone out of style.  What you need now is a sponsor.

TEAM PORSCHE NORTHWEST

REPORT FROM THE TEAM!! AWESOME JOB!!!

"Hello Dan.  We all have returned from the SSCC.  Team Porsche Northwest did well.  As a group of Rookies we had a lot to learn but we made a good showing.  We all ran in the 110 mph class, which is the fastest class Rookies can enter.  The test is to run the 90 mile open road course as close as possible to the expected time, based on speed class.  I scored best from the Porsche team, bringing home a Third Place Trophy.  (Details Below)   I intended to run without a navigator but ran into a very energetic young engineering student from Seattle, studying at Montana State University.  He was part of the support crew for another entrant, Dark Horse Racing from Bozeman.  The Dark Horse Racing 2010 Camaro took first place in our class.   We had 18 cars in the 110 MPH Class."

This is a recap of the three trophy winners:

First Place

Jared Voight - Driver [Dark Horse Racing]

John Gardner - Navigator

2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Time Variance – 0.0418

Average Speed – 109.9984 [variance 0.0016]

Second Place

Mark Streeter – Driver

Ginger Streeter – Navigator

2004 Mitsubishi Evo 8

Time Variance – 0.1359

Average Speed – 110.051 [variance 0.0051]

Third Place:

Miller Adams – Driver

Mario Brown – Navigator

2003 Porsche 911 Turbo

Time Variance – 0.2001

Average Speed – 109.9925 [variance 0.0075]
